I too have been trying to obtain information about our Spondon. Some of you might recognize the bike from various places including
eBay where the original builder, Neil (Slepner), had posted. The bike was shipped to me with a Buell motor that did not quite fit. But my plan all along was to insert an HD XR1000 motor into it. Neil was running a Sputhe but as it turned out the differences in head configurations was significant and the XR motor will require either machining off parts of the rear head cooling fins or relocating the rear shock. So there it sits in my living room. Along side good company I suspect. A 1984 and 1985 BoTT U.S. champion in Heavyweight Modified.
