My name's Rich. We've had a Silk Scott in our family for a number of years, but it's spent most of that time engine-less and waiting for a surge of energy to get it back together. The frame is basically a Spondon made, stretched version of the steel Yamaha AS-1 frame that they made, and uses 38mm Spondon forks, mechanical rear disk and single sided twin leading shoe front brake. It's a very light chassis, and seems a shame to put the four speed velocette box back in it as the thing could be used as a mooring for an oil tanker. My plan is to build it up to compete with the historic racing racing club, which would be madness as it'll have no chance against 1970's machines .. but It'll be light and have plenty of torque. We'll see how it goes.
I'll post my questions seperately.
