Last year the man that thought up most of your fantastical creations, Sweary Bob, passed away. Since that day a few of us have been discussing how we could honour the man. Kyle has now arranged for us to have a stand at the Mallory Park 'Festival of 1000 Bikes'. We are trying to get together a collection of all the types of spondons going back through the years, from steel framed stuff through beam ally stuff and big tube ally frames. If you fancy it, please get in touch with what type of Spondon it is that you have. The festival takes place on July 13th/ 14th 2013 and our stand is going to combine with the lads in the streetspecials MCC. It will be a year to the day that we lost Bob, lets give him a tribute to remember. Info about the festival can be found on their website www.vmcc.net/1000bikes/

Martin Crooks that runs Crooks Suzuki in Barrow was telling me he used to have a 50cc race bike with a spondon chassis that he sold to a local guy years ago. He reckons the guy's still got it and may be up for bringing it to Mallory if we wanted it. He thinks it must be one of the earliest things that Spondon did, should I look into it?

Sounds good Steve, even if we only get photos of it for the website that would be good.

Right then boys, who is gonna bring their pride and joy along to Mallory for the event? If you can make it with your bike it would be much appreciated, we need to show people as many examples of Bob's genius as we can! If you can make it, please get in touch with either myself or Kyle ('Swearybob' on here).

Well, it's nearly upon us, Friday will be here before you know it, is everybody ready? Mucho Thanks to Kyle for sorting all this out, he's done a brilliant job. I think the best plan of attack is for all those staying for the weekend to come to where the stand is going to be first, then we can try and sort out for us all to be put in the same area of the campsite, unless there is loads of room around where the stand is and we can set up there. Lesley, Bob's widow and Becky, Bob's daughter are both attending so lets try and make this a meeting to remember! See you all there!

Well we can do it all again!!! Mallory Park are holding a "Bike Bonanza" on the weekend of July 11-13th 2014. I have a stand application form at last if you want to celebrate the great man again, get in touch on here or on our facebook page if you are a listed member. This could be another great meet up for us Paupers and another chance to show off our unique Spondon Ownwers banner eh Steve. Cheers lads, Need to know numbers before 14th May!!!!

A proper one would be great, but we'll never loose or live down the "Ownwers" banner. Well it was the talking point of last years event after we noticed the spelling.
