Hi, I'm a current owner of a TZ 250, with a Spondon aluminium frame. There are another Spondon frame racing in Portugal. Can you please tell me when they are made?
SPE - YC / HA / 07
SPE \ YC \ FA \ 191
Best regards Alberto

Hi Alberto, sorry it's taken so long, My email went into Stuarts SPAM filter for some reason! He phoned me today so I got him to have a look. SPE - YC / HA / 07 is a very early Alloy frame made from 6082 alloy in 1982, He thinks the 6 before it were prototypes, one off which was supplied to Martin Wimmer. Your's was originally supplied to Capitol Glass, who sponsored a few riders around that time, unfortunately Stuart didn't know who the rider was. Your other bike, SPE \ YC \ FA \ 191 was made in Jan' 1985 and has a wider swingarm and pivot area so that a wider wheel could be fitted and the engine is mounted to one side slightly for the chain run. It was originally supplied to Dave Leech. Hope this helps! cheers, Steve
